Family Counseling

Helping to Create a Stronger Family Unit.

Family counseling is an effective way to overcome differences within the family and bring the family unit closer together. When one family member has a problem, it most commonly has an effect on the entire family. Family counseling is a beneficial tool in helping to deal with separation, divorce, subsequent marriages and family conflict. It also addresses family challenges including, but not limited to, eating disorders and substance abuse.

Family counseling is divided into 3 phases. The first phase is an introduction of family members and reasons for initiating counseling. This will also include a detailed history of the family strengths and challenges. The second phase involves individual sessions with all family members to get a better understanding of who they are and their unique challenges they face in the family. The third phase is bringing all the family members back together to set goals and start implementing strategies to improve the family unit.
